Matt Hubbard Trio
Matt Hubbard plays “back-alley beatnik blues” (Austin Chronicle) on his funky Hammond organ, honky-tonk piano, hobo harmonica and down-home trombone.
Matt has worked with Willie Nelson, members of the Grateful Dead and the Meters in jam band 7 Walkers, Ray Price, Wanda Jackson, Rickie Lee Jones and many others. He now records and tours with Edie Brickell & New Bohemians while holding down a weekly residency with the Matt Hubbard Trio at C-Boy’s Heart & Soul. Recorded in Austin, Texas “Live at C-Boy’s” captures the band firing on all cylinders and features New Bohemians Brad Houser and John Bush on bass and percussion along with Robbie Kidd and Josh Perdue on drums and guitar.
Here’s the story of Guero’s in a nutshell:
“Fueled by their love of Mexican street food, husband and wife super team Rob and Cathy Lippincott, opened Güero’s 31 years ago and launched one of the most iconic restaurants in Austin.”
Indoor restaurant with a patio. Taco stand and bar at outdoor music venue. Heaven.
