Jenny Parrott has been singing to herself since she could walk and has been writing songs for half her life. In 2006 she moved to Austin, TX and formed and fronted Western Swing Pop trio Shotgun Party. The trio toured the USA and Europe extensively, putting out 3 full length albums of mostly Parrott’s original material. Jenny then co fronted vocal harmony based Folk Rock Band Loves It, and continued to tour and put out 2 full length albums. Jenny’s three plus octave voice lights up a room whether she’s singing in English or Spanish, and Kinky Friedman says her compositions are the “Best songs I’ve heard since Christ was a cowboy!”. Jenny has played prisons, a black panther reunion party, children’s shows, streets all over the world, and every basement from here to New York. She has opened for Jonathan Richman, Lake Street Sive, Pokey LaFarge, and Delbert McClinton. Here solo debut album “When I Come Down” was named in the Austin Chronicle’s Top Ten for 2017, and she is currently working on pre-production for her second album.
