Beth Lee and the Breakups (Roots Rock)

January 28 @ 5:30 pm - 8:00 pm

$Tips USD

“A perfect mix of brass, sass, vulnerability, and no-nonsense”, Beth Lee grew up on the grit and soul of the Houston music scene, her dad a long time musician of the Bayou City. Her influences span generations of blues, country, soul, and rock ‘n’ roll greats that lead her to her own brand of “country-fried rock ‘n’ soul” (Laurie Gallardo, KUTX). Having released 3 studio albums to date, all recorded in Austin, Beth is stepping outside of her home base to San Francisco, in the studio again working on her new LP, “Pens and Needles”. Chuck Prophet & The Mission Express drummer Vicente Rodriguez and guitarist James DePrato are playing on and producing the new record. Veering astray from her earlier honky-tonk influenced brand of rock ‘n’ roll, the album promises to be equal parts roots and rock with nods to girl groups and soul music from the sixties. Still performing live and touring with her roots rock band Beth Lee & The Breakups, Beth hopes to display another dimension of her artistry and songwriting ability with her new solo record, slated for release in Spring 2020.
